Delegation from Lancaster University Visited MECE in BJTU

In the morning of 30th September, delegation from Lancaster University visited MECE in BJTU. They held a meeting in the small meeting room in MECE building. Professor Guo Sheng, vice president in MECE, together with Ms. Li Lulin, secretary for foreign affairs attended this meeting.

Firstly, Prof. David Higgitt said that they felt glad to pay this visit. They hoped that Lancaster University and BJTU could have more new possibilities for cooperation. Besides, Doctor Andreas Mauthe thought that the two universities have a lot in common as it concerns research directions. Thus he looked forward to future exchanges among doctoral students. During the meeting, Prof. Guo introduced some major research teams in MECE, as well as issues about the doctoral dissertation. Afterwards, they laid emphasis on exchanges of doctoral students. Prof. Guo hoped that the two universities could deepen cooperative relationships in the future.

After the meeting, the delegation from Lancaster visited the Machinery Museum and lab for motor car under the guidance of Prof. Guo. Dr. Andreas Mauthe experienced our driving simulation system for EMU trains. He thought it was quite interesting and it could benefit students a lot. In the end, this delegation from the U.K. Expressed this gratitude to our warm reception. They ended their visit happily here.
